| Scarves and stolesThe origins of the scarf can be traced back to Ancient Rome, where scarves were worn primarily by men to keep clean, rather than warm. The scarf these days is warn both both men and women and there is really no difference between a mans scarf and a ladies scarf, only the pattern and colour may deem a scarf to be a ladies or a mans scarf. These days scarves come in all shapes and sizes and qualities. We have a large selection of scarves, cashmere scarves, lambswool scarves, merino scarves and pure new wool scarves are the main fibres we use. We then have knitted scarves and woven scarves and we have scarves which carry our own Westaway label, scarves by the Scarf company of Hawick Scotland, scarves by Dents and the James company, F&A Hill and we will be adding a new range from Ireland in the Autumn of 2019. We stock long scarves, wide scarves, plain scarves, tartan scarves and checked or patterned scarves. There really is something for everyone in our range. Stoles are basically a double width scarf and are warn to keep the shoulders warm as well as the neck. While our range of stoles is not as extensive as our range of scarves, we still have a large selection of stoles. We have cashmere stoles, cashmere and lambswool mix stoles and pure lambswool stoles. We also have pashmina stoles, made from a mixture of silk and cashmere. Our stoles are either tartan stoles, plain stoles or checked stoles and are either made by F & A Hill or carry our own label. |
